Throughput difference between slots 7 and 8 of PXIe-1082 chassis

Problem: There are two modules in slots 7 and 8 of the PXIe-1082 chassis; However, their throughput seems to be imbalanced with each other. At the same time, Buffer overflow errors will also occur in my program. What can I do to prevent or correct this issue with PXIe-1082, revision B chassis?

Revision B PXIe-1082 chassis will result in a slight throughput imbalance between slots 7 and 8. Although the exact settings can vary, this issue is usually unlikely to be noticed during normal use. However, this imbalance can lead to uneven bandwidth usage between slots 7 and 8. Therefore, this can also lead to Buffer overflow errors (for example, in the application of digitizers and Function generator, etc.).
Unfortunately, this imbalance cannot be accurately characterized. Therefore, to help confirm if there is a problem with this chassis, use the following example:
1. Using two digitizers, the throughput is allocated to slots 7 and 8 in the form of 60/40.
2. Using two two performers, the throughput is allocated in the form of 80/20 to slots 7 and 8.
These examples indicate whether throughput tends towards slot 7.
Solution:
There are several solutions to this problem.
1. Download and run the self extracting executable file to attach to the knowledge base. After extracting the file, refer to the readme file, extract the file, and follow the instructions to update it.
2. Bandwidth throttling attribute node: depending on the hardware and driver used, using the Maximum Bandwidth attribute node in the program can solve this problem. The concept is to limit the throughput of modules in slot 7, which can alleviate the throughput imbalance observed in the above example.
