Causes and solutions of scaling in steam turbine condenser
Condenser is a heat exchanger that condenses the exhaust steam of steam turbine into water, also known as water recovery device. Condensers are mainly used in steam turbine power plant, which are divided into water condenser and air condenser. The condensed water generated in the process of condensation, after being collected, will enter the circulating system again and again for recycling. In the process of circulation, scaling often occurs. What should we do when the steam turbine condenser has thick scaling and how to clean it?
Let”s take a look at the causes of scaling in the steam turbine condenser first?
Condenser scaling is generally composed of fine particles of sand, dust, sludge of insoluble salts, colloidal hydroxide, impurities and debris, corrosion products, oil stains, dead bodies of bacteria and algae, and viscous secretions. When the water containing these substances passes through the heat exchange surface, it is easy to form dirt deposits, especially in the parts with slow flow rate. This kind of sediment is generally large in volume and loose in texture. They are the main cause of corrosion under the scale, and also the hotbed for the survival and reproduction of some bacteria. The heat exchange surface is often attached with rust nodules, which are often deposited on the heat transfer surface together with scale microorganisms and slime. In addition to affecting heat transfer, the more serious is to promote the propagation of some bacteria, which eventually leads to corrosion and perforation of the heat exchange surface and leakage.
Scaling cleaning solution of steam turbine condenser:
1. Conventional cleaning method:
Condenser cleaning is divided into physical cleaning and chemical cleaning. Physical cleaning generally uses high-pressure water jet to clean the dirt on the condenser pipes; Chemical cleaning is mostly acid cleaning, because acid cleaning needs to strictly control the amount and cleaning time. If it is not strictly controlled, it is easy to cause corrosion to the equipment. However, because cleaning is a dynamic and not completely computable work, most of the time, equipment cleaning is not so thorough for the sake of safety. Secondly, the waste liquid from cleaning is polluting, and a large amount of money is needed for waste water treatment.
2. Environmental cleaning agent cleaning
It is cleaned by the special Intelite intelligent environment-friendly cleaning agent, which contains strong penetrating agent and stripping agent. During the cleaning process, different metal materials can be automatically identified and protected. Its working principle not only involves chemical reaction for descaling, but also produces physical reaction at the same time of chemical action. It directly penetrates into scale, oil scale or other deposits, and then carries out physical stripping to make it separate from the container The pipe wall or equipment surface is separated and then washed out by circulating water to achieve “zero” corrosion cleaning of the equipment.
