Phenomenon of generator leading phase operation_ Hazards of generator leading phase operation
Reduce the generator excitation current, reduce the generator potential, and the power factor angle will become advanced. The generator load current will generate the magnetic armature reaction. The generator will transmit active power to the system, but absorb reactive power. This operation state is called leading phase operation.
Phenomenon of generator leading phase operation
1. The excitation current is greatly reduced;
2. Generator stator voltage decreases;
3. The reactive load of the generator becomes negative.
Hazards of generator leading phase operation
1. Increasing the active load of the generator will make the generator develop in an unstable direction, which is easy to cause unstable operation of the generator and even system oscillation accidents.Excitation system DSQC316
2. Continue to reduce the excitation current of the generator and increase the depth of the generator leading phase, which may cause the generator loss of excitation protection action or the generator unstable operation.
3. When the generator is in phase leading operation, the stator current increases and the stator heating increases. The change ratio of the leakage flux at the end of the stator increases, making the end heating the most serious, and the temperature of the generator stator coil will continue to rise.
4. When the generator is in phase leading operation, the generator outlet voltage is reduced, resulting in the reduction of 6KV bus voltage. The high-voltage motor with low-voltage protection will trip. The electrical equipment in operation will heat up due to the reduction of bus voltage and the increase of current, and the insulation of the equipment will be damaged if it is operated for a long time.
When the generator is in leading phase operation. The magnetic leakage at the end of the stator increases when it is operated in a later phase. In particular, the line load of large generators is high, and the end magnetic leakage is relatively large during normal operation. The end core pressure refers to the temperature rise of the connecting piece. During the leading phase operation, the temperature rise is aggravated due to the increase of magnetic leakage. Therefore, when the generator terminal voltage is reduced during leading phase operation, the auxiliary power voltage is also reduced accordingly. If it exceeds 10%, the auxiliary power operation will be affected.
Therefore, the leading phase operation depth of synchronous generator shall be determined by test, that is, how much reactive power can be absorbed to maintain the static stability and transient stability of the system under a certain active power supply state, and the temperature rise of each component shall not exceed the limit, and can meet the voltage requirements.
When the inductive reactive power supplied by the system is more than required, the system voltage will rise, and the generator is required to generate less reactive power or even absorb reactive power. At this time, the generator can change from delayed phase operation to leading phase operation.
Precautions for leading phase operation of generator
1. Check that the generator excitation regulator should operate in automatic mode, and the low excitation limit function of the generator excitation regulator and the generator excitation loss protection should be put into operation normally. Check that the speed control system is flexible and free of jamming.
2. The leading phase depth of the generator shall be adjusted according to the command of the shift supervisor. If the generator automatically leads to phase due to high voltage on the network, the monitoring of all parameters of the generator shall be strengthened, and the report shall be reported to the superior in time.
3. When increasing or decreasing the excitation of the generator, the speed should be slow, and it is not allowed to adjust rapidly and greatly. The limit value of the leading phase operation should be controlled within the specified range, and it should always be less than the limit action value of the low excitation.
4. When lowering the excitation of the generator, if the low excitation limiter acts, immediately stop lowering the excitation of the generator, and properly increase the excitation of the generator to ensure that all parameters of the generator are within the normal range.
5. Pay attention to monitor the static stability of the generator. The indication of each meter of the generator is normal and there is no oscillation. Check that the sound of the generator is normal to prevent the generator from out of step or oscillation.
6. The temperature rise at the end of the stator core of the generator shall be closely monitored to prevent overheating of the generator. The temperature at the end of the core shall not exceed 120 ℃ and the temperature of the copper shield shall not exceed 120 ℃.
7. In case of obvious swing of active and reactive power of other operating units, the excitation current of the leading phase generator shall be increased immediately, and the shift supervisor shall be reported at the same time to recover the delayed phase operation of the generator.
8. If the 6kV main auxiliary equipment fails or needs to be switched, apply to the middle note to stop the generator in leading phase operation, restore the late phase operation state of the generator, and prevent the 6kV and 400V auxiliary voltage from being too low, protection action or tripping of some 400V equipment due to the large reactive load absorbed by the equipment during startup and shutdown.
9. In case of equipment failure, when it is necessary to reduce the load and eliminate defects, immediately apply for middle note to stop leading phase operation, and then apply for leading phase operation after the standby group resumes normal operation.
